“Women’s representation on FTSE 100 boards now stands at 20.7%, up from 12.5% in 2011, with only two all-male boards remaining.” – Women on boards Davies Review Annual Report 2014

While women’s representation has improved, since the start of the “Women on Boards” initiative in 2011, women are still outnumbered at board level by 4 to 1. With compliance and legal functions being the paths to reach the coveted board level function of general counsel (or head of compliance/integrity), it is clear that many challenges still remain for professionals wanting to climb the corporate ladder, and companies looking to find the best people to steer them to success.

Join discussions with leading women in the compliance and legal function, who will share their stories of success, highlight the current state of play, and discuss the strategies and possibilities their work in improving diversity has brought to light.

Session Speakers:

Judy Krieg, Group Director of Risk and Compliance, Willis Group (UK)

Kathryn Higgs, Head of Ethics & Compliance, Balfour Beatty plc

Alyson Corrigan, Global Director, Ethics & General Counsel EMEAA, Tate&Lyle PLC

The debate will be followed by the launch of the 2015 Women in Compliance Awards, the only event dedicated to celebrating the achievements of women; and in recognising and rewarding the outstanding contribution that women make every day in the world of compliance.
