Ethics Always Wins EDMER Ethics Values Centre Foundation (EDMER) is established to create ethical awareness and ethics vision in Turkey. Turkey is a country with a population of 75 million of which about 50% is below the age of 30. EDMER focuses its activities on young generation. The Foundation conducts two surveys in the country. 1. Ethics through the eyes of young people 2. Ethics through the eyes of business executives The findings in these surveys are shared with the public and key decision makers in the country. Negative and positive developments are evaluated and necessary actions are incorporated to the future activities of the Foundation. EDMER organises ‘Talk Ethics’ get together events with university and high school students. The objective of these events are to make students talk about ethics in their school activities and enhance ethics awareness in education. The Foundation has stared a new project with five big universities in Turkey. Students are asked to establish ‘Young Ethics Leaders Student Club’ in their university. EDMER gives support to these special student clubs. The number of universities who will join to this project is expected to grow during 2014. EDMER gives ‘Turkey Ethics Awards’ to companies called ETIKA Awards. Companies who care about ethics in their businesses apply to ETIKA Awards. Business practices in six areas are evaluated and awards are granted to companies whose commitment to ethical values is decided.
